The short version: your financial data — income, remittances, expenses, and goals — is stored only in your browser, on your device. It is never sent to our servers, and we cannot see it. However, this website displays advertising through Google AdSense, which uses cookies. This page explains both, honestly.

1. The budgeting app: your data stays with you

The Katas ng Saudi budgeting app runs entirely in your browser. When you enter income, remittances, expenses, or savings goals:

Everything is saved in your browser's local storage, on your own device.
Nothing is transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.
There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no passwords.
Backups exist only as files you choose to download. You decide where to keep them, and you can import them on any device.
If you clear your browser data or use the "Delete All Data" option, your entries are permanently erased. We cannot recover them, because we never had them.

2. What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
We do not collect your income, remittance, expense, or savings figures.
We do not sell or share personal data, because we do not hold any.

3. Third-party services we use

Exchange rates. When you are online, the app fetches currency exchange rates from a third-party rate service (exchangerate-api.com). This request contains the currency being converted (for example, SAR) but none of your amounts or personal information.

Web hosting. Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not linked to any budgeting data, since that data never leaves your device.

Blog (WordPress). Our blog at katasngsaudi.com/blog runs on WordPress. If commenting is enabled and you leave a comment, the name and details you submit are stored with the comment.

4. Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)

To keep Katas ng Saudi free, this website displays ads served by Google AdSense. This is the one part of the site that involves cookies and tracking, and we want to be upfront about it:

Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to show you ads that may be relevant to you.

This website is intended for working adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
