What is Katas ng Saudi?

Katas ng Saudi is a free budgeting and savings tracker built for Overseas Filipino Workers. The name means what it sounds like — the fruit of your labor in Saudi — but the app works for any OFW in any country: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Singapore, Hong Kong, or anywhere else you earn in one currency and support a family in pesos.

Every month, millions of OFWs send money home without ever seeing the full picture: how much came in, how much went to remittance, how much the transfer really cost in fees and exchange spread, and how much was actually kept. This app puts that whole picture on one screen.

What you can track

• Income in any currency — salary, overtime, bonus, or side gigs, automatically converted to pesos at current exchange rates.
• Remittances — amount sent, amount your family received, and the true cost of every transfer, so you can compare padala methods honestly.
• Expenses — your day-to-day cost of living abroad, by category.
• Savings goals — bahay, lupa, emergency fund, negosyo, or pag-uwi ng tuluyan — with a live estimate of how many months until you reach each one.
• Net worth — a yearly summary of what you earned, sent, spent, and kept.

How it works

There is no sign-up. Open the app and start. Everything you enter is saved in your own browser on your own device — not on our servers. When you want a backup, download your data as a single file and keep it in your Google Drive or email. Upload that file on any device to continue where you left off. The app also works offline, so you can update your budget even without internet or load.

Where is my financial data stored?

In your browser's local storage, on your device only. Your income, remittance, and savings figures are never uploaded to any server. You are the only person who can see them, and you own the backup file.

What happens if I clear my browser data?

Your entries will be deleted along with it. Download a backup regularly from the Settings page — it takes one tap, and you can restore it anytime.

Which currencies are supported?

SAR, AED, USD, QAR, KWD, SGD, HKD, and more, all converted to Philippine pesos. Exchange rates refresh daily when you're online.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It runs in any modern mobile or desktop browser — nothing to install.
